The Challenge

Capture the scale and energy of the PistonHeads Annual Service 2025 while operating in a fast-moving, live event environment. We needed to produce a cinematic hero film and high-performing vertical social content simultaneously - balancing premium production quality with real-time speed. With unpredictable lighting, moving vehicles, and one-take moments, the challenge was delivering polished, brand-led content without missing the action.

Our Goals

To create a flagship hero film and a suite of high-impact social content that captured the scale, prestige, and community behind the PistonHeads Annual Service 2025. The objective was to elevate the event visually, drive real-time engagement across social platforms, and produce evergreen content that could promote future Annual Services, all while reinforcing PistonHeads’ position at the centre of UK automotive culture.

The Creative Approach

We deployed a lean two videographer setup using high quality mirrorless rigs to maximise mobility without compromising production value. This allowed us to move quickly between rolling arrivals, crowd moments, and key activations capturing the event in a true run-and-gun style while maintaining a polished, cinematic look. Dynamic gimbal work and long-lens compression were used to elevate the automotive visuals, while aerial drone coverage established the scale and atmosphere of the day.

Production Highlights

A huge benefit of our 2 man team? No key moments missed. We covered each brand and explored every piece of automotive artwork at the event. This really was a once in a year opportunity! Drone footage also added great value, ensuring we could show off the crowds and location.
